About the Role:
The Inventory Distribution Specialist will be responsible for supporting daily inventory operations and maintaining smooth, efficient distribution of medical and facility supplies throughout the hospital. This role is critical in ensuring that all hospital departments have the materials they need to provide exceptional patient care. You’ll work closely with other members of the supply chain and materials management teams to ensure inventory levels are accurate, orders are fulfilled correctly, and distribution schedules are maintained without interruption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments from vendors and suppliers.
- Safely unload materials and break down pallets for storage and organization.
- Utilize RF scanners and computerized systems to accurately record product movement, quantities, and locations.
- Prepare, stage, and distribute materials to designated hospital departments in accordance with daily demand.
- Rotate inventory as needed to maintain accurate stock levels and prevent expiration of time-sensitive supplies.
- Communicate effectively with department staff and supervisors to resolve supply discrepancies or shortages.
- Maintain clean, organized storage areas and adhere to all safety and infection control standards.
- Assist with periodic cycle counts and full physical inventories to verify accuracy of stock records.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Resume required for consideration.
- 1+ year of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain preferred.
- Healthcare, hospital, or medical supply experience is a strong plus.
- Proficiency using RF scanners or inventory tracking software.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs as needed.
