Job Description

We’re looking for a strategic and driven Senior Buyer to play a critical role in shaping and strengthening our supply chain. In this position, you’ll go beyond transactional purchasing—partnering closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure materials flow efficiently, cost targets are met, and operations run without disruption. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategy with execution: optimizing sourcing approaches, influencing supplier performance, and driving continuous improvement across procurement processes. You’ll have visibility across the business and the chance to make a measurable impact on cost, inventory, and overall operational performance. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex supply challenges, and want to be part of a team that values collaboration and innovation, this role offers both challenge and growth. This is a full-time permanent position that will be fully onsite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with critical suppliers to ensure reliable and consistent material availability aligned with operational needs.
  • Execute purchasing activities in alignment with defined cost, quality, and delivery expectations while meeting established performance metrics.
  • Monitor supply continuity and proactively address potential disruptions, escalating risks that could impact production or business operations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date trade compliance documentation for applicable materials and transactions.
  • Collaborate closely with production planning and scheduling functions to ensure timely procurement at optimal order quantities, balancing cost efficiency with inventory control.
  • Oversee inventory levels for assigned materials across internal facilities and external partners.
  • Coordinate direct-to-customer or site shipments from suppliers when required.
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams such as Engineering, Quality, Operations, New Product Introduction, Logistics, and Finance to support business objectives.
  • Support and implement supplier collaboration frameworks to improve performance and integration.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and projects related to sourcing, procurement, and operational support functions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Approximately 8 years of relevant experience, including formal development programs or progressive responsibility in procurement or supply chain roles.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated success improving supplier performance metrics, optimizing inventory, and implementing advanced supply strategies (e.g., vendor-managed inventory, long-term agreements, lead time reduction, minimum order quantity optimization, and pull-based replenishment).
  • APICS certification (e.g., CPIM or CSCP) preferred.
