Responsibilities:
- Design and execute sourcing initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the RFP process, including evaluating proposals, shaping negotiation strategies, and driving outcomes that optimize value.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to support sourcing decisions, ensuring fairness, compliance, and technical accuracy for all potential suppliers.
- Apply a data-driven approach to manage spend categories and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies tailored to specific needs, ranging from traditional competitive bids to catalog-based purchasing solutions where appropriate.
- Oversee supplier relationship management initiatives to foster long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Track, monitor, and report on cost savings and procurement performance metrics.
- Ensure that all purchases are cost-effective, delivered on time, and meet quality standards.
- Partner with internal departments to support supplier evaluation, selection, and development, while managing quotations and tender processes transparently and efficiently.
- Prepare and manage indirect procurement contracts, including timely renewal reviews and compliance oversight.
- Generate financial, analytical, and operational reports to support sourcing decisions.
- Lead strategic sourcing efforts for capital projects, ensuring alignment across business units and manufacturing sites in Georgia.
- Research and benchmark best practices to continuously enhance sourcing processes.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier contracts and procurement activities.
- Develop and implement a compliance-focused procurement strategy for indirect spend.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the procurement team and company objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
- 5 years experience minimum as a Buyer within manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse operations
- Prior experience with SAP, Oracle, etc.
- Prior experience with MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, sum ifs, etc)
