Schedule: Monday – Friday (Flexible)
Hours: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM or 10:00 AM – 4:00/5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, patience, and a willingness to learn all aspects of the business. This role is designed for someone who wants to grow professionally, with the opportunity to advance into a managerial position over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and provide professional customer service
- Enter and maintain accurate data in company systems
- Assist the underwriting team with administrative tasks
- Review documents for completeness and accuracy
- Support daily office operations as needed
- Learn underwriting processes and industry standards
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and team-player mindset
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service experience is a plus
- PNC license preferred but not required
- Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required
- Desire to learn and grow within the company
